Q: What is SmartFlow's capacitive foot sensor and how is it different from other brands' infrared sensors?
A: SmartFlow’s capacitive foot sensor works at a short range, requiring your foot to almost touch the sensor for activation. This prevents accidental triggers. Other brands use infrared sensors that detect from a longer distance—meaning walking past or cleaning near the toilet can unintentionally cause the lid to open or the toilet to flush.
